The recent tungsten market situation in China

The tungsten raw materials remain stable before the holiday. Date: 2023-9-26 Source: Tungsten Molybdenum Cloud Business0. Before the National Day, the tungsten market is calm and waiting. The raw material tungsten concentrate remains stable, and the hard alloy is competitive in sales, dragging down the weak adjustment of tungsten prices. Due to the large social inventory, the industry is severely rolled up, and the phenomenon of tungsten powder grabbing orders is frequent. It will remain weak in the short term and continue to wait for the conditions to break the game in the fourth quarter.

Today, the tax-free negotiated price of 55-60% tungsten concentrate is in the range of 1.68-1.69 yuan/kg, and the tax-included price is 118,500-119,500 yuan/standard ton. Most of the miners and traders hold goods over the holiday and wait and see the market performance after the holiday.

In addition to long-term orders, tungsten smelters have fewer active sales of scattered goods, and under the support of tungsten concentrate costs, the quotation still revolves around 180,000-180,500 yuan/ton, and there are few bulk transactions.

The rigid demand for tungsten powder has slightly increased, but the price is weak. The current transaction price of tungsten carbide is 265-268 yuan/kg; the transaction price of tungsten powder is 270-272 yuan/kg, with both high and low, and purchases as needed.

In summary: The raw material remains high, the weak demand does not change, and the stalemate in the tungsten market will continue.
